Alan Small

Alan graduated from the University of Surrey in 2022 and joined Prostock in 2024 after working for other vet practices in southwest Wales. He comes from a farming background in Northern Ireland where he grew up on his family dairy farm. His main interest is dairy and outside of work his main interests are rugby, gym and running.  

Rowan Wishart

Rowan graduated from University of Edinburgh in 2024 and joined ProStock shortly after. She is Scottish and grew up in Lanarkshire, between Glasgow and Edinburgh. She developed a passion for farming in her early years at university whilst out on lambing and dairy placements and has never looked back. She is looking forward to getting out and meeting all of the lovely farmers (and hopefully picking up some Welsh along the way). In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, and going for an occasional swim. 

Jake Collyer

Jake graduated from the University of Surrey in 2023. Originally from an arable farming family in Norfolk, Jake decided he had had enough of the flat land and lack of cows and decided to up sticks and move to the other side of the country. Jake is interested in all aspects of farm practice but has a keen interest in goat and sheep medicine. Outside of work Jake can be found hiking in the countryside or fishing along a river.

 

Ella Dibble

Ella graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023. She comes from a mixed dairy and sheep farm in mid-Somerset and is interested in all aspects of farm animal practice, particularly youngstock management. In her spare time Ella enjoys playing rugby, hiking, and wild swimming. 

Josh Hosford

Josh graduated from Bristol University 2023 after completing his accelerated graduate entry programme for Veterinary Medicine. Prior to vet school, he had completed a degree in agriculture at Newcastle University and worked as a farm manager on a dairy farm for Velcourt ltd. He is very pleased to now be working in the veterinary sector within the agriculture industry, as this was always what most interested and drew him to farming. Josh has the most experience of dairy farming but is keen to get involved in all sectors of the livestock industry.

Rhys Hopkins

Rhys joined Prostock in October 2022. Rhys is a farmer’s son from Cwmtwrch. He graduated from Nottingham Uni in 2018 and worked in a farm practice in Cumbria for 3 years. Rhys is a fluent Welsh speaker and can be found at the Carmarthen and Llangadog Branches.

Rebeca James

Beca graduated from the University of Bristol in 2022. She is from Tregaron and is a fluent Welsh speaker. She enjoys all aspects of farm animal work but has a particular interest in sheep, having her own small flock at home. Beca can be found at the Carmarthen and Lampeter Branches.

Lauren Hall

Lauren graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2022. She is originally from Buckinghamshire. Lauren has a keen interest in dairy youngstock and sheep work. Lauren can be found at the Carmarthen Branch.

Carys Owen

Carys graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2022. She originates from Pembrokeshire and is fluent Welsh speaker. Her main clinical interests include flock health and fertility. Carys can be found at the Carmarthen Branch.

Abigail Dimelow

Abbie joined ProStock in 2019 after graduating from Edinburgh university, she then took a sabbatical in 2021 to do a 13 month internship in small animal anaesthesia at the university of Liverpool. Abbie then came back to Prostock in spring 2022 just in time to see some lambing, and has been working in Carmarthenshire for Prostock ever since. 

She has since married a local farmer, so when not at work, she spends quality time messing with cows and sheep at home, particularly her small flock of Hampshires.
